Janmashtmi Celebration at Ashiyana Nagar

Om namo bhagwate vasudevaay

Janmashtami is a hindu festival celebrated as birth of Lord krishna. Little kanha was born in a prison in Mathura as eighth child of Vasudeva and Devaki. Krishna is avatar of Lord Vishnu who took birth to remove all pain of mother earth who is unable to bear the sins unleashed on her soil and soul.

Cruel Kansa, brother of Devaki, was foretold that he will be defeated by 8th child of Devaki. Enraged and fearful kansa killed each and every child that Devaki bore. Krishna was carried away by his father Vasudev to his foster parents Nand and Yashodha. Their Krishna grew up and years later he returned and took his revenge by killing kansa . This is a festival of Victory over cruelty and injustice.

Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated in Mathura with pomp and show. In vrindavan, celebrations begin 10 days before the actual day. In Maharashtra, festivities circle around one important and unique ritual- Dahi Handi, since Krishna was fond of eating makhan people play this sport with fun and frolic.

Overall Janmashtami is celebrated with joy and fun all over our country. Krishna has taught us a great lesson i.e to never give up in any situation. A person should keep on moving and chasing their dreams. Kanha also taught us essence of true friendship by always behind stand together with Radha rani , his other gopalas and his cows.
Thankyou.
