On this auspicious day of Gandhi Jayanti, our preschoolers at Udayan Kidz Preschool and Daycare Dwarka Sector 8 gathered to commemorate the life and teachings of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. October 2, was not just a day off from regular classes; it was a day of reflection, learning, and embracing the values espoused by Gandhiji.
Morning Reflections : The day kicked off with a special assembly where our little ones, with bright smiles and tiny hands folded, paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi. Together, we reflected on the principles of truth, non-violence, and simplicity that Gandhiji stood for.
Crafting Memories : In the spirit of creativity and self-expression, our preschoolers engaged in a variety of arts and crafts activities. Tiny hands painted images of the spinning wheel, symbolizing self-sufficiency and empowerment. Gandhi’s iconic round glasses and the charkha came to life on paper, showcasing the artistic talents of our budding Picassos.
Storytime Chronicles : A storytelling session took the children on a journey through the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Through vivid narratives and colorful illustrations, the story unfolded, bringing to life the essence of his struggles, resilience, and unwavering commitment to justice.
Spreading Kindness : Our little ones were encouraged to perform small acts of kindness throughout the day. From sharing snacks to helping each other tidy up, the preschool became a hub of compassion and consideration.
Dress as You Believe : Children and teachers dressed up as characters inspired by Gandhiji’s era. The preschool buzzed with mini Gandhis and tiny freedom fighters, creating a lively atmosphere of historical immersion.
Peaceful Moments : A special meditation and yoga session allowed our preschoolers to experience moments of stillness and tranquility. Through simple breathing exercises and gentle movements, they learned the importance of inner peace, echoing Gandhi’s emphasis on self-discipline.
Thank you for joining us on this special day of homage to the Mahatma.
