“Amidst the rich harvest,
Across the lush greenery,
Baisakhi has arrived,
In all its majesty – so let’s rejoice and celebrate.”
At Udayan Kidz Preschool and Daycare Sector 8 Dwarka, we think that education is not just about reading books and following instructions. The ideals and ethos of every culture and community are something we want to instill in our kids.
Students celebrated Baisakhi on Thursday, April 13, 2023, in order to fully introduce our little ones to the spring harvest celebration. The kids attended a special musical assembly, and the facilitators performed a role-play before homeroom discussions about Baisakhi celebration in preschool.
In the classrooms at all class levels, carefully thought-out activities were carried out to familiarise the children with this harvest festival. This activity’s goals were to introduce kids to the meaning of Baisakhi in our culture and get them involved in the celebration of a harvest festival.
The exercises were specifically planned to foster the pupils’ interest in Baisakhi and to pique their sense of humour and creativity. On Baisakhi, the preschoolers celebrated the event with rhymes and songs. It was adorable to watch the little ones absorbed in the action.
The Nursery students brought crafts they had created themselves as souvenirs home. They used finger painting to create imprints of the corn plant. The kindergarteners also created a craft to take home
